Qualifications: I am a recent graduate from California State University Sacramento with a Bachelor of Music degree in Horn Performance. While at CSUS I had the pleasure of participating in masterclasses with Randall Faust, William Klingelhoffer and Lowell Greer. I am currently a student of Peter Nowlen, and have studied with Dr. David Hoover and Dr. Ruth Brittin. Playing Experience I have an extensive knowledge of the horn repertoire and have orchestral, wind ensemble/concert band, chamber and solo experience. As an orchestral player, I have worked as principle horn for the CSUS Symphony Orchestra, CSUS Opera Orchestra. I have also performed with the Folsom Lake Symphony, CSU Northridge Symphony and Opera Orchestras and the San Fernando Valley Youth Symphony. In addition to my orchestral history I also have several years of chamber experience in both Woodwind and Brass Quintets. Teaching Experience: My teaching experience is limited, however, I feel that my strong understanding of the horn and my background as a horn player make me an excellent teacher for both the beginner and more advanced horn player. I have an excellent ear, am able to clearly articulate horn technical concepts and I pride myself in my ability to be both patient as well as supportive.
